Have you been feeling the Wonk?
The past six weeks have been some of the most turbulent and challenging I’ve personally experienced for a long time.
It has been very wonky for me; many of the people I know have had a similar experience to varying degrees, and the collective consciousness definitely feels stirred up and unstable.
(Wonky and wonky mean how they sound; hint: don’t overthink it.)
Let’s focus on the good news.
I have been intending to write a forecast like this for months, and it is finally happening! At this very moment, I am feeling relaxed, stirred up, emotional, and grateful.
I just finished a very delicious delicious lunch of a three cheese grilled sandwich + sautéed spring vegetables
This makes
my life good.
The potency of small victories is generally greatly under-appreciated.
I am now enjoying a post lunch treat: a small (150ml / ~5oz) black coffee with a Chinese fried sesame ball and some chocolate.

No pressure. Just saying I’ve tried it a couple of times and it really works.
Moving on to my interpretation of the current Vedic cosmic map.

Where We are Headed
The good news is that the worst of the wonk is behind us, and that we are ripe for new beginnings towards greener pastures and sweet summer fruits. The good news can be summarized as follows:
Eclipse season is over, praise be the end of the storm!
Venus is exalted in pisces, bringing boons of devotion and the potential to feel and experience the entire universe tangibly in your day to day life
The Sun is now exalted in Aries, bringing some much needed fire energy into the mix, and a hit of masculine leadership and initiative of the highest order
All planets are now direct, creating strong forward momentum and the potential for big strides into new experiences and feelings
Let’s cover these in a bit more detail.
Eclipse Season is Wrapping Up
Eclipse season is now over, and we will not see eclipses again for another ~six months. The ~1.5 months around eclipses tend to be a tumultuous time when it is hard to see things clearly and there can be a lot of disruptions and confusion. This eclipse season was very potent, for a variety of reasons i’ll go into more deeply later on.
It’s an ending that is definitely worthy of celebration!
When and to what extent, I will entrust to you dear reader as the curator of your life.
Also, keep in mind it is over but it is not fully gone. The torrential rain and wind have stopped and the sun is starting to shine.
We have been through a fierce storm that has cleansed and purified us, and also filled our aquifers. The effects of the storm are plainly evident in whichever area of your life the wind blew mostly fiercely. We are still on a shallow part of the curve of change towards goodness, and things may still feel like a slog.
Exalted Venus In Pisces
If you want to understand exalted Venus, read some of Rumi’s poetry or about the life of Anandamayi Ma - two spiritual giants who exemplify the qualities of exalted Venus.
Venus relates to the sweeter and nicer aspects of life, and in watery Pisces evokes the incredible sweetness of material (everyday) and spiritual life mutuallly supporting and enriching each other. Exalted Venus has been the great stabilizer this past six weeks, bringing beauty, sweetness, and boundless compasssion into the mix to sooth ruffled feathers and sore egos.
Having recently completed one its rare retrograde cycles, Venus is feeling reborn and that shows up as a sort of coming out of the dark night of the soul in relation to Venusian areas of life. For example:
Relationships
Enjoying the pleasures of life
Arty, beauty, and aesthetics
Giving and Receiving Love
Business, diplomacy, and the marketplace.
Venus finished its retrograde cycle at the very beginning of Pisces - which is very much a transitional zone where she cannot exercise her full strength. Furthermore, even exalted Venus is feeling pretty bogged down at the moment due to her close proximity to cold and strict saturn, erratic and unstable rahu, and a glum and weak debilitated mercury.
Expect to see her strength come into play more noticeably in a slow ramp up over the coming weeks. The next week or so in particular may be rocky as she passes over the three anti-musketeers.
Sun Exalted in Aries
The Sun has entered it’s place of highest dignity, marking the beginning of the solar new year. Spring is now fully upon us, and the days are getting noticeably longer and warmer as light increases everyday. In the Vedic tradition, this is considered roughly the beginning of the most auspicious time of year.
Other than the Sun, we have six planets in water rashi (signs) and 2 planets in earth rashis. That makes for a lot of feminine energy and it has been this way for what feels like a long time. Femine earth and water are all about feeling and the subjective side of life. The Sun in aries brings a welcome dose of objectivity + higher consciousness masculine to the mix.
The Sun relates to:
Ātman, your innermost core of light - the part of you that carries over from life to life (the soul)
Leadership & Confidence
Creativity
Decision Making
Health, Power, and Radiance
This transition has barely started, as the Sun now sits at 2 degrees sidereal Aries. The difference is noticeable though, and we can only expect it to get better as potent fire energy dries us out and warms us up after a long, wet, and stormy season of eclipses.
All Planets Are Now Direct
When all planets are direct that means that all of the fundamental energies of life evoke natural forward moving experiences. It’s been a slog of going over old themes the past six months as we toiled through a series of muddy retrogrades.
What this boils down to is that we are at the begining of a good time to get start organized and ready to move forward in a big way with what’s most important to you in a life.
Don’t be in a rush though, because we haven’t covered what’s not so good right now and most of that stuff won’t clear up until roughly mid may.
