Events

Refunds and returns are allowed up until a certain date before the event. This date varies from a few days to a few weeks depending on the complexity of the event, and will be listed on the checkout page and your receipt. After that, all sales are final.

Context for Our Policy

With events involving food, there are a lot of details that require extensive preparation beforehand and if people are reserving and canceling that further complicates things a lot and makes it harder.

We do charge a small return fee because there is work involved in processing a refund. The technical aspect of it is usually simple, but there are many other things that go into “de-preparing” for a guest who is no longer coming.

If you cancel we may or may not be able to easily fill the spot you had taken up. If the event is full, we may have lost out on being able to give your spot to someone else who was interested. To a certain extent, we have to be strict about this or it wouldn’t be possible for us to put events on at all.

Modern big business has largely conditioned society to be very demanding and detached when paying for something, but I prefer to do business on a more human to human level. Imagine if you invited someone over for dinner and you put a lot of work into making a beautiful dinner for them only to have them cancel at the last minute; how would you feel about that?

When Gabriel hosts an event he is approaching it as if he’s inviting you over for dinner 🙏🏼
